TIBE NOW by Philip Mueller

See a selection of Austrian painter Philip Mueller’s work at Alserkal Avenue-based Salsali Private Museum. Showcasing both new and site-specific works, the exhibition, titled ‘TIBE NOW: Free Drinks, Boots and Tickets to the Apocalypse’, traces the evolution of Mueller’s practice. The collection depicts the resolution of his typical existentialist narratives to form a larger whole, where his paintings bring the viewer into their context. Philip Mueller’s style mixes classical painting techniques with an expressive and poignant painterliness entrenched with symbolism and chaos. ‘TIBE NOW’ is a response to social sanitation, doused in excess, desire and corruptible reason. See it showcased at Salsali Private Museum from 9 March to 31 May.
