The spectacle that ushered in 2019 will continue to run at various times from January 1 until March 31. From January 1 to 5, a shorter version of the Emaar NYE 2019 gala will be displayed that will include laser, light and The Dubai Fountain shows. These will be held at 7pm and 9pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. From January 8 to March 31, the shorter version of NYE gala will be displayed daily once from Tuesday to Saturday. There will also be two separate laser and light shows from the extensive LED display library of Burj Khalifa. The shows on Tuesday and Wednesday will be at 7.15pm, 8pm and 9.15pm, and from Thursday to Saturday at 6.45pm, 8pm and 9.45pm. Indian singer Mika Singh who was arrested for sexual harassment in UAE and later released on Thursday night is back in Abu Dhabi jail, Khaleej Times can confirm. “He was produced in the court today evening. And he has been sent back to police custody,” a diplomatic source close to the case said. It is not clear for how many days he has been detained. He is being further questioned by the authorities. Singh was arrested in Dubai on Thursday on charges of sexual misconduct after he allegedly sent lewd pictures to a 17-year-old Brazilian girl. He was brought to Abu Dhabi to be produced in front of the public prosecution today. “He is under arrest. Our team is there. We are working to secure his release,” Indian ambassador to the UAE, Navdeep Singh Suri had told Khaleej Times.
