The Plenipotentiary Conference is the organisation’s key decision-making event, and determines the ITU’s activities over the coming months. This new show at Children’s City, the educational theme park in the heart of Creek Park, aims to both entertain and educate the youth of the UAE. A daily show, which takes place in Children’s City’s state-of-the-art planetarium, takes audiences on an exciting journey through the human body, where they’ll also learn about friendship along the way. Children must be at least two years old to watch the show.
Adapt to Survive: Notes from the Future at Concrete Following its showing at London’s Hayward Gallery, and a gallery to gallery international collaboration, Concrete at Alserkal Avenue will bring the seven artist-strong group exhibition ‘Adapt to Survive: Notes from the Future’ to Dubai from 7-21 November. This septet of international artists have imagined how our world might look and feel in the future, engaging with the idea that adaptation is necessary for survival to present films, sculpture and text-based works that explore ideas of change and hybrid forms of architecture, biology, technology, and language. The line-up of artists includes Ann Lislegaard, Julian Charriere, Rainer Ganahl, Marguerite Humeau, Bedwyr Williams, Andreas Angelidakis and Youmna Chlala.
Aesthetic Dental Facial Cosmetic Conference The dental event returns for its 10th edition The Aesthetic Dental Facial Cosmetic Conference returns this November for its 10th edition, and is set to cover all of the latest trends in aesthetic dentistry, as well as give professionals insights into new technologies and services. The main aim of this two-day event is to take a closer look at the advantages and limitations of cosmetic dentistry, and also to make observations on the industry based on research and insights from clinicians from around the world. There will be educational sessions from industry experts, seminars, hands-on courses, presentations, face-to-face appointments with dental industry suppliers, and networking opportunities for all attendees.
HR Summit and Expo The region’s largest HR event The HR Summit and Expo is one of the largest HR events in the Middle East, and it returns to the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre in November. The three-day event is set to cover very aspect of HR and talent management, with a line-up of seminars, workshops, book signings, and talks from international experts. GITEX Technology Week 2018 The technology event returns for its 38th edition This October, GITEX Technology Week returns to Dubai World Trade Centre for its 38th edition. The 5-day exhibition showcases some of the latest products and innovations from the world of technology, and brands from all over the world are set to take part. For the 2018 edition, the exhibition will shine a spotlight on four major technological sectors – Smart Cities, AR and VR, Internet of Things, and Smart Manufacturing. Attendees will be able to learn about how some of the world’s leading smart cities are integrating these technologies into their infrastructure, and find out which technologies are set to change the world. There will also be networking opportunities, competitions, tech demonstrations, and free-to-attend talks.
Yogafest Dubai Media City Amphitheatre is the al fresco location for this year’s Yogafest long weekend, which takes place from 15-17 November with a jam-packed schedule of free-to-attend yoga sessions, meditation circles and yoga-related activities for fans of all ages. The festival begins on Thursday evening in the meditation tent, and continues with two full days of sessions led by some of Dubai’s best-known yoga and meditation practitioners along with visiting guest teachers. Healthy food and exciting retail spaces round out this holistic weekend festival.
DP World Tour Championship 2018 The DP World Tour Championship, one of the biggest events in Dubai’s sporting calendar, is back for its tenth edition from the 15-18 November. Part of the European Tour, and the thrilling climax to the European Tour Race to Dubai, this golfing tournament has seen some of the world’s best golfers competing here in the UAE, with past winners including Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm. The tournament has a prize fund of $8,000,000, and you can expect some tense scenes when the athletes battle it out on the course to take home the trophy.
The region’s leading education show The Gulf Education and Training Exhibition, or GETEX, returns from 14-16 November. The event is a chance for schools, colleges and educational institutes to reach out to Dubai’s aspiring students, and for students to learn about what educational opportunities are available. Each year, the exhibition attracts more than 35,000 students, and GETEX focuses on all aspects of education, from residential schools to student counselling. The three-day event also features a Counsellors Forum, for Counsellors to meet and learn from fellow professionals. There will also be a line-up of seminars led by representatives from local and international schools, covering everything from children’s healthcare to Master’s Degree programs.

Where the global aviation world comes to do business The Dubai Airshow is one of the largest and most successful air shows in the world, connecting aerospace professionals across all areas of the industry to facilitate successful global trade. The 2017 event saw a 20% increase in trade visitors on 2015 with some 79,380 attending the exhibition and an order book of US $113.8 billion. The biennial event takes place at Dubai World Central, Dubai’s airport of the future. When completed, it will be the world’s largest airport with an ultimate capacity of more than 160 million passengers and 12 million tonnes of cargo per annum.
