The critically acclaimed musical Spamalot will be at Dubai Opera from 2-5 May. Based on the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, by the British comedy group Monty Python, it tells the story of King Arthur and his knights, with original songs written by Eric Idle. The original Broadway production of Spamalot, in 2005, won three Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical. Past productions, on Broadway and on London’s West End, have featured stars such as Tim Curry, Warwick Davis, and Christian Slater. This production of Spamalot will be brought to Dubai by Selladoor Productions, which has also worked on musicals including Little Shop of Horrors, Footloose, and Jersey Boys. Audiences can expect an evening of laughter and music, with songs including Always Look on the Bright Side of Life and Knights of the Round Table.
